Staying in Mahi Mahi Suite, you'll feel like a guest, rather than just a tourist. You'll be looked after in a safe, privately-owned apartment, well away from the busier tourist areas. Scarborough port and A.N.R.Robinson International Airport at Crown Point are a 20 minute drive away, ensuring that Mahi Mahi is easy and stress-free to get to.
The heart of the luxurious 3-bedroom Mahi Mahi Suite is the elegant and spacious open-plan entrance hall/living/dining/kitchen area, with its high ceilings and concealed lighting. With floor-to-ceiling glazed doors leading onto the patio, you will enjoy the beautiful views over the swimming pool, garden and adjacent beach. All three bedrooms, the guest bathroom and laundry are accessed from this central area. The living room and each bedroom have independent air-conditioning and ceiling fans.
The kitchen at Mahi Mahi is a chef's dreams come true. With its top-of-the-line stainless steel appliances and equipment, you will have no trouble creating your own gourmet meals, or having them cooked for you. The kitchen includes a fridge-freezer with ice maker, a stove with extractor fan, microwave oven and dishwasher, plus numerous ancillary items such as a blender, electric kettle, toaster, coffee filter machine, food processor, mixer and juicer. There is naturally a full range of cooking and baking utensils and all the cutlery, crockery, bar tools and glasses you need for either casual or elegant dining.
A breakfast bar with seating for four partially opens up the kitchen to the more formal, elegant dining area which features a glass-topped table and chairs for six. An office nook contains a rolling armchair and executive writing desk with cordless phone and wireless Internet connection. There are cupboards and drawers with notepads and stationery. The wine cupboard also contains some light reading material, as well as local maps and guides.
Next to the dining area and office is theMahi Mahi Suite's comfortably-furnished living room with its two cosy sofas; a large armchair and footstool; 30” digital cable TV with local and international stations including the BBC and CNN; DVD player and collection of in-house movies; iPod dock and speakers; and a high quality music system for entertainment. The tasteful décor, with paintings, plants, coffee tables and lamps, provide a soothing ambience for reading and writing.
Spectacular sunsets can be savoured from Mahi Mahi's balcony, which is conveniently accessible from the living room or master bedroom. Why not watch the local fishermen 'pull seine' in the morning? Relax in comfort in a comfortable patio chair while the family play in the pool, or on the beach. Or, enjoy a cocktail with some fresh fish on the barbecue – it all happens on the balcony.
The fully en suite master bedroom overlooks the sea and has patio doors leading onto the balcony. It is furnished with an emperor-sized four-poster bed with bedside tables, reading lamps, and a CD clock radio. There are two large chests of drawers, a set of security alarm controls, and mirror and opens into a large en suite bathroom with bathtub, shower, twin washbasins, toilet, hairdryer and walk-in wardrobe with hanging space, shelves, drawers and a safe.
The second bedroom is also en suite and can be set up either as a double king size or a twin. Guests should specify their preference when placing their reservation. There are bedside tables and lamps; a large built in wardrobe with hanging space, drawers and shelves; and separate chest of drawers with a mirror. The bedroom leads into a bathroom with shower, toilet, and washbasin with mirror and hairdryer.
The third bedroom would suit children of any age, but could be used by adults as it has a double bed, a bedside table with lamp, a chest of drawers, and hanging space. It has easy access to the third bathroom across the hall. This is equipped with a shower, washbasin and toilet.
The impressive entrance hall leads into the open plan kitchen/dining/living room area and houses the alarm controls; a cupboard for beach and footwear; board games and some snorkelling equipment; a small room for concealing the washer and tumbler dryer; and a broom cupboard with cleaning equipment, ironing board, and emergency equipment; plus the intercom to the garage entrance.
