When we arrived late (due to flights) into the evening Liz was nevertheless there to welcome us and take us through the apartment details. We were impressed by the cleanliness and how much was provided (fresh linen, bath and beach towels, full kitchen utensils for us to cook all sorts of meals, efficient Wifi, allowing one of us to work remotely). The beds and bedrooms were inviting and the living space large and relaxed, made even more comfortable with ceiling fans and air conditioning. The enormous terrace overlooks the pool and the beach – with plenty of seating and sidetables to enjoy ‘sundowners’ during the gorgeous sunsets. The apartment is only minutes’ walking distance to several excellent restaurants and fruit & veg stalls. There is also beautiful snorkelling at one end of Stonehaven Bay. A major highlight for us was being lucky enough to witness a giant leatherback turtle laying her eggs at the other end of the bay. We enjoyed our two weeks at Blue Marlin enormously and would thoroughly recommend it for a heavenly holiday.

We had such a brilliant time on our 5th trip to Tobago, which is still a really unspoilt relaxed and friendly place. This was our 3rd stay in Blue Marlin, at Black Rock Dreams, and it was truly fantastic. It is a very spacious, comfortable and well-equipped property, in an incredible position right on Grafton Beach, overlooking the Caribbean Sea. The large balcony is the perfect place for the whole family to sit and listen to the waves, watch the wildlife (including hummingbirds) and enjoy stunning sunsets. Some of our favourite restaurants (The Fish Pot, Edge of The Reef and Seahorse) are within minutes of Blue Marlin, and there’s great snorkeling around the rocks at the end of the beach. The property manager, Liz, was super helpful with queries and arranging of car hire in the run up to our holiday. She met us on arrival to give us lots of advice re the property / island and was always around / contactable to help with anything we needed. Cannot wait to return!!

We really enjoyed our stay. We have been visiting Tobago for about 30 years in many different locations. Chaconia suites is perfectly maintained. We had no problem during our 2 weeks stay..everything worked perfectly (internet, kitchen, a/c, pool area, appliances, etc..) and we felt safe at all times, Chaconia suites is part of Black Rock dreams which probably features one of the best locations available on Tobago. The property is literally ON Grafton beach which according to our opinion is one of the nicest beaches on the island. We will be back! Corinna and Chris

We have been regular visitors to Tobago for the past 10 years. It is a delightful island full of friendly people and interesting things to do. We have always chosen self catering and I have no hesitation in saying that the 2 apartments managed by Liz Sloper, Chaconia and Blue Marlin are the best in Tobago. They are located in an 8 apartment block at Black Rocks, Stonehaven Bay, and sit in beautifully maintained gardens with a swimming pool, only feet away from one of the nicest beaches in Tobago. This time we stayed in Chaconia, a 3 bedroom apartment with a glorious en suite master bedroom and two other spacious bedrooms, one also en suite. It was fully equipped, spotlessly clean and in complete working order. Liz was there to meet us and to explain how everything worked and to give us the update on what to do and where to go on the island. Our stay could not have begun better and continued in the same way throughout. While it was tempting to sit on the spacious balcony watching the ocean and the hummingbirds feeding inches away from us, with the beach 2 minutes away, that was our daily destination, beginning with an early morning walk. We firmly believe that non of this would happen without the care, attention and management of Liz. She was there personally at least 3 times a week and always on hand by telephone or WhatsApp. The cleaning and servicing of the apartment, changing of sheets and towels, took place far more often than if we had been doing it ourselves, and if there was any problem, small or large, Liz had it sorted in record time. She also manages the maintenance of the whole site, which as I say above, is perfectly maintained. We recommend this highly as a top holiday destination and five star experience. I’m pretty much tempted to write an awful and dreadful review of my stay at Chaconia, simply because I really don’t want anyone else booking this villa and then it’s not available for when I return, but I guess that would be selfish of me...bleh The space was simply stunning. The location was perfect, with breathtaking views of the ocean and lush greenery. The property was beautifully designed and impeccably maintained. The outdoor spaces, including the pool and garden, were perfect for relaxing and taking in the stunning scenery. It’s a great and convenient location for all the fun things that you need to do on the island. The room was spacious and comfortable, with all the amenities you needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the linens were soft and luxurious. The rooms are very clean and well-maintained, ensuring that you could relax and enjoy your stay to the fullest. The modern and convenient kitchen is truly a marvel of design and functionality. With sleek lines and state-of-the-art appliances. In essence, don’t book this villa!!! BTW Liz is an awesome host!

The Mahi Mahi Suite was totally awesome! Everything as described and perfect for our family. The views are amazing from the balcony and the suite is peaceful (except for the crazy rooster at 2:00am, but that’s life in the islands 😂) Gillian was responsive and a good host. The pool is very deep, so purchase noodles if you’re not a strong swimmer. There are excellent Restaurants nearby. The beach is perfect for walking, but was a bit rough during our visit. Overall we wished we could’ve stayed longer and will definitely book again when visiting Tobago.

I highly recommend the Chaconia Suite. My family and I had a wonderful stay and the place exceeded our expectations. The suite was very clean and much larger than it looked in the pictures. The kitchen was modern and had everything we needed and more. The grounds were well maintained and having the pool and beach right outside was perfect. We had a lovely time just before Christmas staying in the Blue Marlin suite. The view as soon as you walk in is truly breathtaking; we loved being able to open up the huge doors and enjoy the sunset. The suite has a really comprehensive list of recommended restaurants and we found it so useful to consult before dinner - the best meal we had was only 5 min away and was on this list! We had a total of 5 adults and while the queen bedroom is quite small compared to the size of the suite, everyone was comfortable. A great location, close to everything we needed, and a really nice pool area when the waves were too rough to swim in. Overall we had a really lovely stay that felt remarkably private despite being right on the beach!

The Blue Marlin Apartment is absolutely gorgeous and the view is simply breathtaking! Our family was delighted to have stayed there. For the early birds in our group, the beachfront location was perfect for morning walks and sea baths. At this particular beach, the fisherfolk did beach seines and we always looked forward to see what they brought in. Liz is a gem of a host! She was so accommodating and made every effort to make our stay as enjoyable as possible (even popping by with mangoes one day). We had a wonderful time at Blue Marlin and I would definitely recommend to future guests;)

Blue Marlin was an absolute dream to stay at in Tobago. Liz was lovely and easy to communicate with and greets you upon arrival. The apartment is spacious, clean and very comfortable with the most amazing views of the beach and the sound of waves crashing was a highlight. The garden and pool area is beautiful and perfect for kids and the beach at your doorstep is really lovely. Its in a quiet area, but everything you need is a few minutes walk or drive away. Blue Marlin is the definition of luxurious, modern and beautiful. It's situated on one of the most beautiful and quiet beaches in Tobago. Falling asleep and waking up to the waves was absolutely heavenly. Blue Marlin was our home away from home-clean, spacious and fully furnished! I stayed here with my family in August 2021. Our vacation was during the lockdown when beaches were closed and no in house dining was permitted, so we wanted somewhere comfortable as we would be spending most of the time in the villa. We also wanted a pool and a sea view. Chaconia Villa exceeded our expectations. It was well appointed and had everything you could possibly need, including a wine set and glasses. We had our meals on the full sized dining table, and enjoyed the views from the breezy porch. The spacious pool was a wonderful place to relax and listen to the sounds of the crashing waves. The living room with large couches is ideal for movie nights. The jacuzzi tub in the master bedroom was delightful for bubble baths. This villa is designed for the ultimate relaxation! The property manager, Liz, even decorated with balloons and a banner to celebrate my husband's birthday. We loved our stay and did not even miss the beaches (which says a lot as we usually go windsurfing and diving in Tobago). We look forward to returning and thank Liz for making our stay so wonderful!

My family and I stayed at the beautiful and luxurious Blue Marlin suite. We felt at home away from home. I particularly enjoyed sleeping while hearing the waves break (great therapy). The suite was very clean, well maintained and spacious for my family of 6. We enjoyed the view of the ocean from the open plan kitchen, dining room and mostly the verandah which was breathtaking. My favorite time of the day was early morning ? as we enjoyed watching the fishermen pull their seine while also enjoying the crisp fresh air. Knew the beach, so thought the apartment would be a great location. Was not disappointed. Better equiped than many rentals I have stayed in around the world - clearly a second home. It is relaxed - so very comfy - but not so perfect that you are not comfortable to just chill out. Hate a sofa that I have to perch on! No need for aircon, with the security grills happy to have the windows open and sleep to the sound of the sea. If not comfortable with that - there is a full alarm, panic button, resident complex manager. Week up to Boxing Day meant beach quiet - perfect for us. Great advice on things to do if you are not so familiar or out of date. Will stay again.

Blue Marlin is a modern villa overlooking the famous Grafton Beach. Upon arrival, the property manager (Liz) will be there to greet you and give you a brief tour of both the property and premises. The villa exceeded our expectations and believe me, my standards are high... very high! The villa is exceptionally clean with housekeeping everyday except on public holidays. The spacious kitchen has stainless steel appliances and every tool imaginable to make cooking easy. The master bedroom overlooks the beach and you can hear the waves crashing upon the shore from the bedroom. My favourite spot was the porch area. Picture the vast stretch of ocean and unforgettable sunsets at your doorsteps. Need I say more!!! Liz is also the perfect host and if you encounter any problems or need general information, she is more than willing to assist. Will definitely be back. Five stars.

My family and I stayed at Blue Marlin for 5 days and we wish we could have stayed longer! We truly felt like we were on holiday. The apartment was absolutely gorgeous and fit my family of 5 with lots of room to spare. The housekeeper, Lenore was wonderful and so sweet. The view is stunning and we loved that Grafton beach is just footsteps away. My grandson loved being down by the pool. Liz was amazing and a pleasure to be in touch with. We will definitely be back hopefully soon and we only want to stay in Black Rock Dreams.

It is not often that the pictures on a website reflect the true image of a place when you walk in, they usually appear to have been taken from when everything was new. That is not the case here, Chaconia is as wonderful or better than the pictures. Spotlessly clean and very well maintained. We had a fantastic time and most certainly would stay there again. We have recommended it all of our friends. Liz was excellent and very accommodating and the staff were very friendly.

The prefect vacation villa. The villa is spacious, comfortable and fully equipped with everything you need. The view from the villa is priceless with easy access to the beach and pool and great afternoon views of the sunset. My only complaint was that we had to leave. I will definitely be back!

Chaconia Suite is every bit as beautiful as the pics. Airy, spacious, spotless and tastefully decorated. All the furnishings are super comfy and you feel right at home. Keep the patio doors open and hear the gorgeous crashing of the waves but close the doors and it's very quiet and comfortable. The grounds.amd garden are impeccably maintained and designed. And the ocean view just makes you grin from ear to ear. Property manager was very kind and accomodating and all staff on the property were friendly. I definitely have a tabanca. Will be back in the future.

Our family of 5 enjoyed a 9 day stay in early January 2020. The condo is as pictured - spacious and lovely. It’s on the 2nd floor without an elevator which wasn’t a problem for us. All the beds were quite comfortable; showers work well as do air conditioning and appliances. Washer/dryer are in the condo and very nice to have. We had a car - which our host arranged - big enough for 5 ppl and all our bags at $80/day; was nice to have to get out and about the island. Secure parking is available under the condo. On-site grounds keeper Chris and his wife Geyelle are friendly and always helpful. Gated pool area is lovely and well- maintained. Beach is great! Nice sand on the shore as well as in the water - don’t need water shoes at all. Surf was up most days - highly recommend bringing your own durable boogie board as there were none to be found in the shops on the island. A few small repairs were needed while we were there - host was very responsive and thorough. Highly recommend this place; it’s beautiful, quiet and relaxing. The Seahorse Restaurant is within walking distance - food and service are both excellent. Likewise for the Wave - a nice beachside place that’s also walkable.
